Description

Is trying to ‘be your best self’ getting in the way of actually enjoying your life? Do you feel stressed out or ashamed about not meeting your standards for yourself? Are thoughts about ‘fixing’ your body and your looks getting louder?

Most of us spend our days bombarded by images of ‘perfection’ on our screens. The pressure to be perfect is linked to anxiety, poor body image, anger, and shame. If you want to enjoy your life, understand shame, and build a better relationship to yourself and others, Overcoming Perfectionism might be for you.

Overcoming Perfectionism is a free, online workshop for people of all genders who are 16 and older.
Together in a small group with the guidance of counsellor, you’ll learn skills to help you:

  • cope with your experience of perfectionism.

  • deal with internal and external pressures to be perfect.

  • develop a kinder body image.

This workshop takes place online. You will be sent a Teams link in the reminder email sent prior to the session—you can join from any computer, tablet, or smartphone.

***To create a welcoming space, this workshop will not be recorded and must be attended live***

The Provincial Eating Disorder Prevention and Recovery Program hosts free monthly workshops online and, occasionally, in-person. These workshops are open to anyone age 16 and up that want a more peaceful relationship with food, their body, and themselves. Click here to see our upcoming events.
