Event description

Now IS the Time! Building Momentum for Change for a More Inclusive Future

There has been a push in recent months to get gender back on the agenda, with the #March4Justice and Grace Tame, the 2021 Australian of the Year, using her platform to highlight discrimination and violence against women.

The Aged Care Royal Commission has also detailed the shocking neglect and abuse suffered by older people in nursing homes. There are more than 50 cases of sexual assaults taking place every week in residential aged care facilities.

COVID has shown up all of society's fault lines, including the growing homelessness of older women.

Isn't this the time to build greater momentum for change?

10:00 - 10:45am: Our keynote speaker, Emma Dawson, will dissect the issues of discrimination - especially around sexism and ageism
