Join our free Essential Letters and Sounds Australia (ELSA) workshop to find out how Oxford can support you in implementing a cost effective and evidence-based approach to teaching phonics in your school. Featuring presentations from expert authors and the Oxford University Press product team, this workshop will equip you with strategies and resources to help you maximise student learning and understanding.

This workshop will include:

  • Essential Letters and Sounds Australia overview and principles
  • An introduction to our Australian experts, Karina Stocker and Dr Nathaniel Swain
  • A look at the ELSA phonics sequence, aligned to Letters and Sounds
  • An introduction to the program components, with a focus on:
    • Complete teacher support (including front-of-class presentations)
    • Assessment
    • Interventions
    • Fully decodable texts
  • Information on program implementation, ongoing training and coaching
  • Free resources designed to help you implement the program successfully
