Introduction

The 'Ask the Professional' events are free and recognised as professional development for many organisations.

Join OZeWAI members and guests, including knowledgeable digital accessibility experts, specialists and researchers from all over the world, as well as leaders in the industry, government and non-profit organisations, to explore and support digital inclusion topics and ideas.

This panel event will bring together accessibility specialists for you to:

• Ask questions of the experts 

• Share knowledge of similar issues

• Find where to get help with accessibility advice and expertise

Claire Webber (she/her)

Claire is a digital accessibility consultant at Intopia, supporting organisations with accessibility and inclusive design. She loves to share her passion for design, accessibility and inclusion, setting teams up with the knowledge to create inclusive experiences. Day-to-day, Claire works on web design, illustration, training, accessibility auditing and accessible design consultation.

Lucy Serret (she/her)

Lucy is a Senior Product Designer at Agoda, a large-scale travel platform used by millions of travellers worldwide, where she specialises in accessibility and inclusive product design. She leads accessibility strategy within design, empowering designers to make more inclusive decisions with confidence through better processes, tooling and education. Over the past seven years, Lucy has worked as a designer within organisations at varying degrees of maturity in design and accessibility, from startups to consultancies and large corporates. Across all of these contexts, her focus has been the same: removing and preventing unnecessary barriers so users can achieve what they set out to do.

Stéphanie Walter (she/her)

Stéphanie is a UX Researcher & Strategist based in Luxembourg with over 15+ years of experience, specialized in enterprise UX, inclusive design and accessibility. She teaches, speaks, and writes about design, UX research, cognitive biases, and the design-dev relationship, among other topics. 

When she doesn’t work, she enjoys good tea, bike rides, and drawing illustrations.  Her D&D alignment is chaotic neutral, and she is better at keeping her teammates alive in video games than her plants, though she makes an effort. 🌱

Brigitta (Bri) Norton (she/her)

Bri is a Digital Strategist and User Experience and Accessibility specialist based in Canberra, Australia. Bri has more recently co-developed inclusive research workshops to share how to embed accessibility earlier in the project lifecycle, which includes engaging with people with disability as part of inclusive research activities.

Amongst her professional experience with government agencies and local businesses, Bri is co-chair of Australia’s Web Accessibility Initiative OZeWAI.org, a Standards Australia Accessible ICT Procurement Committee Member and a member of the ResearchOps.Community Cheese Board.
