During this strange time of lockdowns and health hazards, we hope you're re-assured that the OzHarvest community is here with you. It will feel lonely for many, so if you can pick up the phone to call a friend, family or neighbours for a friendly check-in, it will improve their day - and yours - in just a couple of minutes.

'Fun 15' OzHarvest Family Chats - available to all!

By clicking 'get tickets', there is no payment required and you will be able to select a time-slot for a 15 minute chat (or longer if you like) with up to three other surprise yellow army volunteers or staff.
After checking out with your ticket, you'll be emailed a confirmation with dial instructions for any basic phone or computer.

The twist:

This is a covid19-free chat! Your email confirmation will include some more left-of-field conversation starters to try.

In each chat, you will:

Chat with up to three new acquaintances from the 1000s in our OzHarvest family.
Answer and discuss the same 3-5 intriguing questions each
Connect and have some fun!

Important steps to calls working smoothly:

please select the soonest date possible you can join i.e. 'fill from the front'. This is to ensure each chat session has variety and more than 2 people where possible
each session just needs minimum 2 people to kick off. If you're late, try calling anyway & join in, or pick another date :)
Even if you have a basic mobile phone, you can dial in using the phone code and participate without video. No apps need be downloaded on laptop if you'd like to use video.
for computers, Google Chrome internet browser is recommended.

Best practice tips for your new conversation (these will also be emailed to you):

lead with kindness & introduce yourselves. Spend 5 minutes on basics - your first name, what state you're calling from, if you're a volunteer etc.
avoid talking over each other.
It can be helpful to nominate one person as 'conversation master' to keep the game going smoothly
Find somewhere comfortable to sit, in good reception, as movement during the calls disrupts the flow.
privacy - please avoid asking about other people's home address, direct contact details, surnames or health status. Share only what you feel comfortable to share.
participants to be aged 18+ please
answers can be very brief, even just two words, or up to 2 minutes per person. Discussing the backstory is the fun part!
there is no right or wrong answer, just your own interpretation. Your answer can be light hearted, inquisitive, introspective, truthful or one of many possible themes, go for it!
