Event description

PACT UNDERGROUND: CARNIVOROUS

Hosted by ZSA ZSA, CARNIVOROUS Issue 2 presents: Louisa, Anouk, Marumaru and Mona Mule.

CARNIVOROUS highlights women, trans and gender-non-conforming artists making diverse genres of electronic music. We invite performers to try something new, whether it's performing their original music for the first time, something in progress, or something that feels scary to try elsewhere.

FEATURED ARTISTS

⭐️ Anouk
⭐️ Louisa
⭐️ Marumaru
⭐️ Mona Mule

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Marumaru
Exploring the outer reaches of singer-songwriting, Marumaru - the genre-spanning solo project of itinerant Sydneysider Avery Hutley - infuses intimate bedroom compositions with flourishes of post-rock and folktronica, as unafraid to sit in stillness as to explode into impassioned chaos. Her most recent album, This Time Next Year, was pieced together while moving between Sydney, Melbourne, Kyoto, and Tokyo, and chronicles her process of coming to terms with an imperfect self and an imperfect world.

Louisa
Louisa is an Eora/Sydney-based singer, songwriter & producer crafting ethereal electronic-pop inspired by the likes of Caroline Polachek, FKA Twigs and Kelela. Shortly after completing her studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Louisa emerged onto the Sydney scene with the singles 'Why Don't You Want Me?' and 'Gemini', receiving support from community radio and playlisting at FBi Radio.
