Paddock Trees For Future Generations With Sustainable Farms
Description
The Warby Range Landcare Group invites you to attend an informative 'walk and talk' with ecologist Erin Liddell from the Australian National University's Sustainable Farms Initiative on the importance of paddock trees.
Paddock trees are among the most valuable assets on a farm. They provide shade and shelter for livestock and critical habitat for native wildlife, but they're under increasing pressure. Drawing on more than two decades of on-farm research, ecologists from ANU Sustainable Farms will share insights covering the benefits of paddock trees and remnant vegetation for both biodiversity and production, and best practice management actions for protecting paddock trees into the future.
The event will commence with a 30min afternoon tea combined with the group's AGM,
Tickets are free for current members or $20 for non-members, which includes a 12-month membership to the group!
Looking forward to seeing you there.
