Paediatric Emergencies PRIME Mount Gambier 05-09-2024


Event description

A hands on educational session for health professionals treating patients experiencing paediatric emergencies in the Emergency Department.

This program is suitable for ALL staff who work in the Emergency Care Setting.  This course is especially suited to EMC/EMD/IEMTP candidates and Emergency Department Staff

A light lunch and morning tea will be provided.

Full day workshop, RACGP and ACRRM accredited, eligible for the Rural Procedural Grants Program

Places are limited and priority will be given to individuals who provide Emergency Care in the Limestone Coast.

It will utilise a blend of Interactive Case Study, Practical Skills Stations, and Scenario Based Learning to support effective management and applications within clinical situations:

  • Assess and appropriately manage paediatric respiratory dysfunction
  • Review management of paediatric status epilepticus
  • Assess and appropriately manage paediatric circulatory dysfunction
  • Review principles of crisis communication, teamwork and leadership in paediatric emergencies
