We are so excited to welcome Anthea da Silva back to Mount Murray Farm. Anthea is a renowned artist whose passion for portraiture and life drawing deeply influences the themes in her art. Painting Waratahs is inspired by her time here on the farm in September and painting the white and red waratahs that bloom in our garden here.Â

About the Event
Anthea da Silva is coming back to Mount Murray Farm. Anthea is not only one of our dearest friends, she is a renowned artist whose passion for portraiture and life drawing deeply influences the themes in her art. You will be learning about brush techniques while painting 'Waratahs' in a group setting here at the farm. Donations at the checkout can be made with proceeds going to Medicins Sans Frontiers as part of this event.

Anthea da Silva's work has gained recognition on a national level, as evidenced by her participation in esteemed exhibitions like the Darling Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery in Canberra. Here Anthea was the winner of the inaugural Darling Portrait Prize at the National Portrait Gallery in 2020.
She has also been part of selected group exhibitions, including the Portia Geach Memorial Award at the S.H. Ervin Gallery in Sydney, Australia. Her artistic journey has been documented in various publications, with features in notable platforms such as ArtDaily and Sydney Morning Herald. Notably, Anthea da Silva's contributions to the art world were highlighted in the article "National Portrait Gallery Announces NPPP and Darling Prize People's Choice Awards," published by ArtDaily in June 2020.
