Event description

What does it take to turn a moment into a movement?

How does one idea become a revolution or one person become a global 'we'.

Meet the three inspirational faces behind movements which have taken the suburbs, the regions and the entire nation on a journey of change. From, "this isn't good enough" to "we're going to change it".

Carmen Platt is the CEO & Founder of The Generous and the Grateful; a registered charity committed to connecting excess with need, to help people and planet. By sourcing high quality used and excess furniture and white goods and connecting them with people rebuilding after tragedy and trauma, The Generous and the Grateful enables survivors to thrive.

Natalie Isaacs
is the founder and CEO of 1 Million Women, a global movement of women and girls who take practical action to fight climate change by changing the way they live. Under Natalie's leadership, 1 Million Women has become one of Australia's largest networks acting on climate change and is rapidly expanding internationally, with more than 800,000 women and counting.

Arielle Gamble is the the Director of Groundswell Giving, Australia’s first giving circle created in response the climate crisis, which she co-founded with two friends, Clare Ainsworth Herschell and Dr Anna Rose. Groundswell is a community of people who know that the climate crisis has arrived, and that it’s up to every one of us to actively be part of the solution.

Join us to find out how these women got started and what's next for their causes. See a humanitarian challenge you're no ok with? It's time to shift the status quo and paint our 'hood good.
