Paint Your Pet • Acrylic Workshop with Kasia Hebda
Description
Turn your favourite photo of your pet into a finished portrait on canvas.
Can your dog stay still? No worries, Kasia's can't either - that's why we paint from your best photo. A photo doesn't wander off, doesn't sneeze mid-portrait and never decides the carpet is more interesting. Your pet, frankly, will not appreciate any of this. You will.
Join artist Kasia Hebda for a four-hour acrylic workshop in Queenstown. You'll paint your own pet from your own photograph on a 40 x 50 cm canvas, and learn how to catch the thing that matters most - not a perfect copy, but the look that makes it unmistakably them.
This workshop is ideal for beginners and developing artists. Across the morning, you'll simplify your photo into shapes and tones, mix the colours that make fur look like fur, build up your painting in layers, and give those eyes a bit of life.
No prior experience needed. No drawing skills required - Kasia will guide you through every step.
Furry, feathered or scaly - all welcome. Ducks especially.
How it works:
After booking, send Kasia a photo of your pet to hello@kasiahebda.com - as soon as you book, and no later than Friday 6 November, 6 PM. Pick one in good lighting where you can see their eyes - that's where the personality lives. Kasia will prepare it and print it, ready for you to transfer the outline to your canvas on the day. She'll show you how.
Tickets close Friday 6 November, 6 PM.
Only 7 spots available.
Small group, so everyone gets proper individual help.
