Description

Age: Strictly for children 12+

Duration: 3 hour workshop.

Location: Yass Valley Library.

Cost: FREE

What to Bring: A printed or digital photo of your favourite pet. Wear old clothes.

Provided: All art materials, snacks, and music.

We invite young adults to join us for a relaxed acrylic painting workshop, where you'll paint a portrait of your favourite pet.

Come and have fun while creating artwork inspired by a beloved pet.

Bring along a photo of your pet and follow step-by-step guidance to turn it into a colourful canvas painting.

This workshop is designed for any level and anyone who enjoys being creative.

At the end of the session, participants will take home their completed pet portrait.

What participants will do during the session:

Learn basic acrylic painting techniques.
Transfer a pet photo onto canvas.
Explore colour mixing and brushwork.
Paint textures such as fur, feathers, or scales.
Add shading, highlights, and detail.
Create a finished pet portrait to take home.
Enjoy snacks and music

Yass Valley Council is made up of nine elected Councillors. Elections are held every four years to determine the Councillors who will represent the people of Yass Valley.

A Mayor and Deputy Mayor are elected by the Councillors every two years. Day to day operations are managed by the General Manager and three Directors.

Ensures sound financial decision-making to keep Yass Valley one of the most 'affordable' regions to live in.
Works in many ways with residents, individuals, groups and areas of the Valley, to discuss and consult on everyone's needs and aspirations.

Yass Valley Council has over 150 employees who work to put the policies and aspirations of the Council into action.
