Painting Birds with Sascha Parbery
Description
Painting Birds with Sascha Parbery
The Art of Observation | An afternoon of art, nature, and creative exploration with the illustrator behind Sow Good Festival 2027.
Have you ever wondered how an artist turns the world around them into an illustration?
For local artist, illustrator, and graphic designer Sascha Parbery, it begins with curiosity and a desire to uncover hidden details.
To celebrate the unveiling of Sascha's artwork for Sow Good Festival 2027, we're inviting you to spend an afternoon exploring her creative world.
Sascha will share the inspiration, research, and techniques behind her festival illustrations, from early photographs and sketches through to the finished artwork. You'll discover how individual elements of the natural world come together to tell a bigger story about people, nature, and place.
Then it's your turn to create.
Drawing on the same spirit of curiosity, Sascha will guide you through a relaxed bird painting workshop, exploring colour, shape, pattern, and the art of observation.
Whether you paint regularly or haven't picked up a brush in years, this is an opportunity to slow down, look more closely and enjoy making something of your own.
No experience necessary, the workshop is designed primarily for adults.
