Description
Join us on September 26th for a special Palestine short film showcase and raise money for our film collaborator Fadel Moghrabi & his family in Gaza & Woroud Al-Qassas, a filmmaker from Gaza.
The genocide of Gaza is ongoing and we want to do all that we can to materially support our friends in Gaza and their families.
Enjoy the power of Palestinian cinema, all of which was featured at this year’s Chicago Palestine Film Festival, while gathering with and building community here at the 18th Street Casa de Cultura in Pilsen (ADA accessible with no steps and the bathrooms are large with handles).
Our event will also feature live music, delicious light food & treats, and a special prize drawing from local Chicago artists and organizations.

Here in Gaza, where gunpowder is mixed with soil, Seba kneels to cleanse the soil from the ashes of war, watering it with her small cup - trying to revive memories buried in the seeds.

Maha, 12, is part of the last generation of Palestinian refugees from the Balata camp. Following a faintness from her blind grandfather, she imagines a crazy project: to make him believe that the wall of separation has fallen and that a return to his native land is possible. With the help of her friends from the camp, the young girl imagines a funny trip for him.
