Palliative Care Essentials: Six Week Education Series, 4 March - 8 April

This is a six week education series designed for Registered Nurses, Personal Care Attendants, Aged Care facility staff, Allied Health Care professionals, and anyone interested in developing their knowledge in palliative care. The series has been designed to educate participants on applying general palliative care principles to enhance their skills and knowledge.
The course runs for 6 Tuesdays, starting 4th March and ending on 8th April and can be attended online or/and in-person.
Time: 9am - 12.30pm each session
Bookings can be made for individual or multiple sessions.
Course Outline:
Week 1: What is Palliative Care?
Week 2: The importance of psychosocial support
Week 3: Nausea, bowels & fatigue
Week 4: Delirium & Dyspnoea
Week 5: Pain management
Week 6: End-of-life care
In-person attendance will take place at our Banksia offices, 472 Lower Heidelberg Road Heidelberg, Victoria.
This course is offered by highly trained and experienced Banksia educators, with qualifications and expertise in palliative care.
