About
Pam lives on a 5 acre block in Diamond Creek. The garden has a variety of zones including native plants and a cottage garden. There are annual veggies in wicking beds, and perennial productive areas including scattered fruit trees, a berry patch, a small orchard and a young citrus grove. The property includes many recycled "resources" used to create terraces, wicking beds and a chook palace.
In recent years Pam's garden has been impacted by Queensland fruit fly and Pam is now having to redevelop areas of her garden. During the tour, participants will be invited to give their ideas and feedback for how certain areas might be redesigned and replanted using productive plants and trees.
Please note that the paths in this garden are steep and uneven, so wear sensible shoes. We will end the tour with a cuppa and chat, so bring a share plate if you like.
