Pancreatic Cancer Fundraiser Dinner
Event description
As many of you know, last year our Dad, Stephen, unfortunately suffered from Pancreatic Cancer which he sadly passed away from in October of 2020.
Pancreatic Cancer has the lowest survival rate of all major cancers, it is a cancer that shouldn’t have to affect anyone.
During this difficult time, our family found support and comfort from the North Foundation at Royal North Shore Hospital.
To thank them for their compassion and hard work we are pleased to be able to raise money and awareness for this incredible charity. All funds will go through North Foundation towards the Bill Walsh Lab, who are a research lab helping to research this aggressive cancer further.
They are currently raising funds for five different research projects:
1. Biomarker identification for pancreatic cancer diagnosis
2. Biomarker identification for pancreatic cancer prognosis
3. Identification of Novel drug targets for pancreatic cancer treatment
4. Understanding the role of tumour microenvironment in pancreatic cancer progression
5. Targeting cancer stem cells in pancreatic cancer
On the night you will be treated to a three-course dinner and a four-hour drinks package, at the amazing Acre in Camperdown. There will also be a silent auction to further raise funds to donate.
With your ticket purchase, you are donating $50.00 towards North Foundation, which is tax-deductible. You are also able to use your NSW Discover voucher to save $25.00 off your ticket price. The dress code is dress to impress, whatever that means for you with your dancing shoes on!
We are looking forward to seeing you there. Thank you for helping us support a great charity that is very close to our hearts.
