Paper Plane Competition

Age group: Strictly for children aged 6 to 12 years.
Duration: 1.5 hours.
Location: Yass Valley Library Maker Space.
PARENTS MUST SUPERVISE CHILDREN UNDER 10

We invite children aged 6 to 12 to join us at the Yass Valley Library for a practical, step-by-step introduction to paper plane folding.
This 1.5 hour workshop offers a fun and engaging environment where participants can learn all the techniques and science around the simple paper plane.
What participants will do during the session:
Learn the core principles of paper folding.
Prepare their paper plane or multiple.
Test how their planes fly.
Come back and redesign or fold based on their test flights.
Compete their final designs in multiple categories.
Decorate their competition pieces to make them unique.
By the end of the class, each child will have a completed, and competed their very own paper plane and learned practical points around aerodynamics and physics.
We provide all tools and materials. No prior experience is necessary.
