We acknowledge this event takes place on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past & present. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.

Join local artist Lizette Vieyra for a five-week workshop where you’ll explore the art of transforming natural and everyday materials into beautiful, high-quality handmade pieces.

Working with elements such as seasonal native grasses, leaf matter, and even weeds, along with thoughtfully repurposed materials, you’ll learn how to create your own handmade paper and develop it into sculptural forms or functional vessels. This course is about seeing materials in a new light, elevating the simple into something refined, expressive, and meaningful.

Each session offers a hands-on, relaxed environment where you can experiment with techniques, build skills, and create at your own pace. No prior experience is needed, just curiosity and a desire to make.

More than a workshop, this is also a space to connect. Over five weeks, you’ll become part of a warm, creative community, sharing ideas, inspiration, and the joy of making together.

By the end of the course, you’ll take home a collection of your own crafted pieces, along with the knowledge and confidence to continue creating beyond the studio.

This workshop is intended for adults and young people aged 12 years and over.

Friday mornings 10am - 12pm
5 weeks from 9 Oct to 6 Nov
