Christmas decorations in paper mache and air-dry clay

Christmas Decorations in Paper Mache and Air-Dry Clay

Get into the festive spirit and create your own unique handmade Christmas decorations in this fun and beginner-friendly workshop. Led by Jaci Hunter, supported by Nicola Paki Paki you'll explore the creative possibilities of paper mache and air-dry clay, learning simple techniques to craft beautiful ornaments and decorative pieces for your home or as thoughtful handmade gifts.

The use of paper mache is almost as old as paper itself, and for centuries it has been valued as an inexpensive, lightweight, durable, and versatile medium for artistic expression. In this workshop, participants will explore a variety of homemade paper mache recipes, learning how paper mache can be used both as a glue and as a form of air-dry clay. Additional clay materials will also be available to expand your creative options.

This guided, hands-on workshop is suitable for beginners and offers plenty of support and inspiration. You'll leave with your own Christmas creation, embellishments to add once your piece has fully dried, and recipes and techniques to continue making paper mache projects at home.

All glue and clay materials are included in the workshop fee.

Children aged 8 years and over are welcome, a parent or guardian must attend with them.

Join us for an afternoon of festive creativity and take home a handmade Christmas decoration that will be treasured for years to come. 🎄✨
