Description

Discover the hidden beauty of native plant fibre and learn how to make your own harakeke paper from scratch.

This workshop will provide an introduction to basic papermaking techniques. Participants will learn how to pull and couch sheets of paper using harakeke pulp made in our workshop. You’ll also get a chance to have a look behind the scenes with a brief tour of our papermaking workshop, where you can see how we make our pulp and finish our paper.

All paper produced during the workshop will be pressed and dried at our workshop and will be ready for collection or post 2-3 weeks after the workshop.

This workshop is suitable for most ages and abilities. Children (5 years +) are welcome to attend with an adult.
