Parallel pres. Silva Bumpa (UK) & Moopie (Naarm)
Event description
Parallel welcomes you to an immersive night that melds underground sounds from the UK, Naarm and Gadigal.
Silva Bumpa, the meteoric UK producer who's supported the likes of Interplanetary Criminal, Main Phase and Soul Mass Transit System, having played at Outlook, Boomtown and Glastonbury, shows off his infectious, rolling, warpy bass lines. Known for his blend of high energy speed garage and house vocals, Silva Bumpa's heavyweight tones form a call and response with Moopie's driving grooves and hypnotic rhythms. We're ecstatic to welcome back the wonderfully versatile Moopie - a name that's echoed through the halls of Australian dance music, bush parties, rave culture and everything in between. Tying things together, Gadigal locals Mash and miss behave bring their percussive and psychedlic influences that traverse techno, breaks, trance and more.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which we congregate and dance, the Gadigal People of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to ancestors and Elders past, present and emerging and we honour Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and their rich contribution to society. We acknowledge that our events, and all the work we undertake occurs on stolen land and that sovereignty has never been ceded. It always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
For all First Nations guests we would like to extend complimentary admission. Please message us
We have a zero tolerance policy towards any forms of harassment, violence, racism, homophobia, transphobia and antisocial behaviour. In the instance that you have any concerns, please raise this with the Parallel crew. Last but not least, look out for each other and enjoy yourselves.
