Come behind the scenes and see how your water gets from the river to your tap! 

Join us for a fun and informative open day at the Parallel Road Water Treatment Plant. It’s a chance to see the journey of your water up close, meet the experts who keep it flowing, and chat to the team about our Local Water Done Well options. 

While you're there, you’ll also have the chance to hear about our draft 2025-34 Long Term Plan – the plan that sets the direction for our district for the next nine years! It outlines how we’ll manage and invest in essential services like water, transport, parks, and more!  

This event has something for everyone in the whānau! Enjoy fun games, giveaways, and activities from our friends at Smart Water. 

Everyone’s welcome, but if you’d like to check out the facility, be sure to book a tour! 

Tour details: 

• Tours are limited to 10 people per group – book your spot now! 

• Tickets are FREE, but you must register. 

• Everyone, including kids, needs their own ticket. 

• Don’t forget to wear flat, closed-toe shoes for safety. 

Each tour takes about 20 minutes, with plenty of time afterward for questions and kōrero with our team.
