Parent Aid Garden Tour Fundraiser
Event description
Parent Aid North West Garden Tour Fundraiser
Saturday 29th November | 10am – 3pm
Join us for a truly special day out in nature with the first ever Parent Aid North West Garden Tour – a unique fundraising event offering rare access to four stunning, privately-owned gardens across Waitoki, Kaukapakapa, and Dairy Flat.
This self-guided tour invites garden lovers, creatives, and community supporters to explore a series of beautifully curated spaces that are not usually open to the public. Each garden reflects the passion and personality of its owner, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet these talented creators, ask questions, and gather inspiration for your own green space.
PLUS – as an added bonus for ticket holders, you’ll receive free entry to Kaipara Coast Plant Centre & Sculpture Gardens. Simply show your wristband on the day and enjoy access to this incredible destination: a vibrant and informative plant centre with 3.5km of garden, sculpture, and forest trails to explore. Your visit coincides with their annual sculpture changeover, so you may even have the chance to enjoy a sneak peek at new works being installed. The 2026 exhibition features 40 inspiring artworks by New Zealand artists, placed thoughtfully throughout the gardens to challenge, inspire, and delight all ages.
All proceeds from the event will directly support Parent Aid North West who provide free, in-home support to families with young children across our community.
What to Expect:
Four unique gardens to explore at your own pace
Complimentary tea/coffee and a light bite at one of the stops

All Weather Event
Rain or shine - our gardens remain beautiful in every season. Please dress accordingly and wear suitable footwear.
Important Notes:
We regret children under 14 cannot be admitted (except babies in front packs).
Please take care as you explore. These are private properties, and we kindly ask that you take responsibility for your own safety and belongings.
Toilet facilities will be available at the Waitoki garden and the Kaipara Coast Plant Centre & Sculpture Gardens
Accessibility - We want everyone to enjoy this special day, but please note that accessibility is limited. The gardens are located on private, rural properties and may include uneven ground, grassed areas, and some gentle inclines. Unfortunately, there is no wheelchair access, and if there has been recent rain, the ground may be too soft or slippery for those using crutches or walking aids. While this isn’t a strenuous event, all guests will need to be able to walk unaided through garden settings. We truly appreciate your understanding and recommend wearing sturdy footwear.
Tickets & Refunds:
Tickets are non-refundable (unless required by law). If you can no longer attend, we encourage you to gift your ticket to a friend. Your support makes a real difference to local families.
Sponsors & Support
This festival is made possible by the incredible generosity of the garden owners who have opened their beautiful private spaces, and by our fabulous, supportive sponsors. We are also grateful to Kaipara Coast Plant Centre & Sculpture Gardens for their kind support and for welcoming our guests to explore their extraordinary space. Thank you all for helping us bring this special event to life and for supporting the work of Parent Aid North West.
