Wed, 7 May, 4:30pm - 5:30pm AEST

Event description

Are you a parent or carer of a young person who experiences challenges with attending school? Would you like to connect with others experiencing this, in an supportive environment?

This new group is being created in recognition of the stress and isolation many local families are experiencing with school can't/refusal.

The monthly sessions will be facilitated by Carolyn from Bendigo RIAC (Rights Information and Advocacy Centre), creating a welcoming, judgement free and safe space for parents & carers to connect, share and support each other.

The first session (4:30pm Wed 7th May) will include a welcome from Bron Grieve (Dhelkaya Health Nurse and local Teen Whisperer), an introduction of what this group is/is not, and an opportunity for parents/carers to share their hopes for the group.

This is a Castlemaine Community House program. All sessions are confidential, no cost, no judgement and no obligations.

This program is supported by Vic Health's Growing Healthy Communities Grant and RIAC.
