Parent Information Evening: Forming Healthy Digital Habits
Event description
Raising young adults comes with its share of challenges, and the new digital world has created both possibilities and risks for social, physical and emotional development. As part of Kennedy Baptist College’s efforts to engage our parents and community and give them professional guidance, we have invited Psychologist Luke Spagnolo to speak on how to form healthy digital habits.
Luke will teach us the impact of digital technology on the important mental development of our teenagers, including how social media and gaming influences your child’s growth into a mature adult. You will leave knowing how to apply appropriate structures, routines and boundaries to help your child through Secondary School and keep them safe in the online world.
As a Registered Psychologist and Clinical Lead of Clear Health Psychology in Ballajura, Luke has predominantly focused on supporting adolescents and families, especially in treating the overuse of the internet and online gaming. We are excited for Luke to bring both his knowledge of the digital world along with his professional training to our Parent Forum. His compassionate and friendly approach promises to make for a fun and interactive night that will be useful for all parents and guardians.
Please note, this event is for adults only.
