Event description

We know that parenting can be hard and that sometimes we just need to take a moment, breathe and take care of ourselves. Well that's what this session is all about! Come join Anna and Letesha to talk all about what we can do to care for our wellbeing followed by some super simple (and fun!) mindfulness and yoga. All of which you can copy and paste into your ordinary normal lives! Best of all this session is fully online - yoga in your own home! How good?!

Anna Mowat has a background in psychology and has worked across many national wellbeing initiatives, including as a trainer for New Zealand Institute of Wellbeing and Resilience alongside Dr Lucy Hone and Dr Denise Quinlan, an advisor for the, All Right? campaign, project lead for Sparklers and has even advised TVNZ on child wellbeing! She also directs Real Parents and is a mum

Letesha Hallett is a trained yoga instructor and the director of Yoga Warriors. She’s worked extensively through schools, organisations, national projects and currently supports the Canterbury teen parent education units. She has also worked across the All Right? campaign, Sparklers and Tākai as a wellbeing advisor and practitioner. Letesha brings a kaupapa Māori approach to her yoga and mindfulness practice, which keeps it beautifully grounded and freshly Aotearoa. She is also a Mum!
