Come join the Real Parents team for Parenting at Your Best!

Parenting at Your Best is four 1.5-hour workshops for parents to collaborate and connect while growing a stronger understanding of their kids. These sessions are an opportunity learn some new strategies to support your parenting while getting to meet some other amazing Christchurch. We'll have some coffee, kai, as well as a workbook and physical resource pack to support your children's development.

You'll learn:

• How to establish strong connections with your kids that are positive and loving. 
• How to support your kids with their big emotions, as well as yours too!
• What wellbeing is, and how to support this for you and your kids, and know what to do to ensure to nurture, and
  boost your wellbeing. Wellbeing is strongly connected to resilience so this is also a core part of this session. 
• To have more awareness of your parenting style, where this comes from and how to better remain as the parents we want to be.

We promise these sessions will be super fun, facilitated by Kate Jones. Kate is a Mum of 2 and a social worker with loads of experience in addition to a deep empathy for working with parents who have experienced trauma. She has also worked clinically across schools and with whānau directly. As part of the Real Parents team Kate is a parent coach, and a facilitator of Incredible Years, Incredible Years Autism, and Tuning into Kids parenting programmes
