Wed, 4 Dec, 4pm - 5:30pm AEDT

Event description

Earlier this year, the whole world watched as Paris hosted the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The world’s largest sporting event takes over a city and creates a powerful platform for inclusivity, accessibility and positive change like no other.

What did we learn from Paris? What will their legacy be? How can we use this experience to create a transformative shift for people with disability to benefit Queensland in 2032 and beyond? QDN has brought together an expert panel including Rachel and Josh who were there in Paris to explore these questions.

Expert Panel

  • Josh Bavas - who reported live from Paris for Channel 9
  • Rachel Watson OAM - Australian Paralympian
  • Julie Saunders - Director at Urbis, a consulting firm offering services in planning, design, property, social planning, economics and research.

The Panel will reflect on the Paris Games and their experiences from the lens of a competitor and media on the ground.

The Panel will also reflect on what Queensland needs to focus on as we lead into 2032 to be a leader in access and inclusion.
