Park Science: Marvellous Machines - Callan Park - Winter 2025
Event description
Inspire your inner engineer on our crazy Marvellous Machines day at Callan Park!
Learn about simple machines such as screws, wedges, levers and pulleys using natural materials and by playing games. Working in teams, you will design and build a machine that will be able to lift objects from the ground using a pulley system of your own design.
This engaging STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) challenge presents an opportunity for children to learn the engineering design process and build their own Marvellous Machine. Children will learn how to work in a team, brainstorm, plan, design a blueprint and ultimately - build a machine!
This program is suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years.
Creative Kids vouchers accepted for this program.
Please provider voucher number, name, and DOB of your child in the booking process.
Note that the booking will be cancelled if an invalid voucher number is provided.
