Event: Parks Twilight Markets

Travel instructions

The Parks Twilight Market is accessible via both Car and Public Transport (bus). If travelling by Bus, take the 251 or 252 bus and exit at stop 27, which is located at the western end of the Parks Library. Walk around the library building down Parks Street to reach the event (approximately 1-minute walk). The event is spread across the Parks Community Precinct, with activities and features available both inside and outside. The entire event location is on one single level, with no steps required to enter or exit any of the buildings. Part of the event is held on public roads which will be closed to traffic for the evening. As such, there may be single steps up/down the existing curbs.

Toilet location

Accessible toilets are available in both the Parks Library and the Parks Theatre. A Changing Places facility is also available in the Parks Library (please note, Changing Places facilities can only be accessed with a MLAK).

Accessible parking

There are a limited number of disabled parking spots nearby. Please be aware parking may be limited nearby due to the event. Much of the street parking in the Parks area is timed, so we advise you to read all parking signage before leaving your vehicle. For those who are able to walk, there is a large, untimed car park on the eastern side of the Parks Recreation & Sports Centre, approximately a 3-minute walk from the event.

Calm Zone

The event will feature a 'Calm Zone', providing a safe, calming and low-sensory environment for any guests who may be feeling overwhelmed or overstimulated. This space will include low-lighting, reduced sound, comfortable seating and sensory/mindfulness activities. Please check the event map or ask event staff to locate this space.

Parents Room

There is a Parent's Room Located in the Parks Library. This room features a baby change table, a microwave, private breastfeeding spaces and both adult and child size toilets.
