Parrando Llanero is a celebration of música llanera, a vibrant genre born in the vast plains of Colombia and Venezuela. Joropo, with its energetic rhythm and fast-paced footwork, reflects life in the Llanos: freedom, the hard work of farmers, and the indomitable spirit of our land.

Our music is deeply connected to our landscapes: the endless horizon, the sound of the river, the galloping of horses, and the cowboy chants known as cantos de vaquería, an oral tradition filled with history and poetry.

This event will feature the llanera harp, cuatro, and maracas, transporting us through their melodies to our homeland. We are the first Joropo folk group in Sydney and the first one composed entirely of Colombians. We want to share our roots, culture, language, and traditions through music.
