You are invited to join us for a very special conversation with Australia’s Ambassador to the United States, the Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO and Mr Andrew N. Liveris AO, the Chairman of Lucid Motors and former Chairman and CEO of Dow.

Both leaders have been at the epicentre of the most significant recent global developments including the establishment of The Quad, AUKUS, the successful negotiation of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act by the Biden Administration and the shift that is taking place since COP26 in Glasgow.

Our speakers will unravel the history-making changes we have seen and highlight the opportunities these present to the global Australian innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

ABOUT OUR SPEAKERS

The Hon. Arthur Sinodinos AO, Australian Ambassador to the United States

Mr Sinodinos was most recently Liberal Senator for New South Wales. He has previously served as Minister for Industry, Innovation and Science; Cabinet Secretary; Assistant Treasurer; and Shadow Parliamentary Secretary to the Leader of the Opposition. Mr Sinodinos was Chief of Staff to Prime Minister John Howard OM AC.

From 2006-2011 he was Director, Goldman Sachs JBWere, then Regional General Manager, National Australia Bank. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Newcastle.

Andrew N. Liveris AO, Chairman, Lucid Motors and Former Chairman and CEO of Dow

Mr Liveris is Chairman of Lucid Motors and the Blackrock Longerm Investment Fund. He is a non-executive director of IBM, Saudi Aramco, Worley and NOVONIX. Andrew is on the advisory board of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Teneo, and NEOM (an initiative driven by Saudi Vision 2030).

He is a special advisor to the Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. He serves as a trustee for the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), The Minderoo Foundation, and the United States Council for International Business. Andrew was appointed Chairman of the Australian Governments National COVID Commission’s Modern Manufacturing Taskforce.

He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of The Institute of Chemical Engineers as well as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering. He earned a bachelor’s degree (first-class honours) in chemical engineering from the University of Queensland and was awarded the University Medal for that year.
