Event description
This globally sought-after 4-day training is designed based on global experience and offers participants conceptual and practical learning to support their work in brokering and supporting partnerships and multistakeholder collaboration.
The course design provides a unique opportunity to learn and work with partnership practitioners from community, government, business, non-profit, education, and philanthropy to hone skills at all stages of a partnership, and where partners or teams attend together can provide a real-time partnership building opportunity to leverage lessons to guide the partnership strategy, management or review.
Successful completion of this course provides the graduate with a PBT Certificate and opens a pathway to progress to further professional practice programs including the Partnership Brokers Accreditation pathway and/or the Advanced Practice program.
The PBT will be delivered by experienced Authorised Practitioner Trainers, from the Partnership Broker's Association (PBA):
- Donna Leigh Holden is PBA's cohort lead in South Australia and has 30 years of experience in the leadership of international development organisations in Australia, and Asia. An Associate of the PBA, Donna brokers partnerships with a wide range of actors including DFAT, the Work Bank, New Zealand MFAT, international NGOs, managing contractors and local governments.
- Michelle Halse is a highly-experienced partnering, collaboration and innovation specialist with experience in international development, global innovation challenges, and social entrepreneurship. She has brokered partnerships with consortia for international health, humanitarian capacity building, vulnerable children and families, women’s legal services, education, livelihoods and social inclusion in the UK, USA, Australia, across the Asia-Pacific and Africa. She has worked in catalytic philanthropy building collaborations to support collective impact initiatives.
Ticketing includes the cost of four-day training, all training materials and resources, certification, access to the PBA alumni register, lunch and coffee/tea breaks. Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs if and as needed for the duration of the program.
