Partnership Foundations Program: Building and maintaining effective HJPs
Event description
"The most useful thing was being provided tools I can now use to critically examine the partnership model in general but also specifically the partnership I am working in. This examination will help my organisation establish the best possible partnership to meet client need in our community, which is the ultimate goal." - Partnership Foundations Program attendee feedback
"Great crash course in all things partnerships!" - Partnership Foundations Program attendee feedback
About the program
Human lives are complex. Siloed service systems with a heavy emphasis on the expertise of discrete disciplines can struggle to respond to the multiple and intersecting problems in people’s lives. Working in partnership provides a pathway through this struggle. But like any new way of working, people working in partnership need to be equipped with the skills, resources, knowledge and mindsets required to do that work effectively. It is in this context that Health Justice Australia has designed its Partnership Foundations Program.
The Partnership Foundations Program supports services and practitioners interested in pursuing health justice partnership to build and apply the essential foundations for success. The program draws upon Health Justice Australia’s experience supporting the development and maintenance of complex partnerships, and dives deeper into the recommendations contained in the Building blocks for health justice partnership development resource, supporting practitioners to translate the evidence of effective partnering into practical, achievable partnership development strategies and processes that fit their own unique context and needs.
The program consists of five (5) preparatory learning modules, two (2) online convenings and three (3) interactive online workshops. The preparatory learning modules will be made available via the virtual event hub.
Between the online sessions, attendees will apply what they’re learning through completing guided, practical exercises and populating an action plan. They will also have access to Health Justice Australia’s partnership experts and peer participants for troubleshooting and support.
