Featuring

MICKEY KOJAK - Mickey's music is a collision of new and old styles as well as digital and analogue instruments bent and pushed to their limits. Mickey is constantly leading his fans down an endless road filled with bold stylistic choices and wild sounds. Mickey first burst onto Aussie radios with the now house classic 'Feel My Pain'. In the years to follow, he's dropped banger after banger including 'Move Too Fast', 'Save Your Breath' 'All That Acid' and 'Video Games'. As well as this, Mickey has collaborated on singles with Bag Raiders, Go Freek and American EDM act K?d on the single ‘Electronic Memories’ which has amassed over 15 million streams.

BETTY -  With roots spanning the stretch between Amy Winehouse and Adrianne Lenker, Betty has managed to conjure a multifaceted yet singular sound, blending all the best parts of her influences. The 25-year-old has become a fast favourite in the Sydney music scene with her unforgettable melodies and harmony-focused songs. Writing to conjure the intangibles attached to complex emotions and memories, her new music engulfs audiences with an aural experience laden with introspection. While being able to reference artists that connect with a wide audience, Betty sits in a sonic world that is entirely her own.

GROOTI - Grooti is a Sydney-based DJ known for her summery house sets, often performing at Love Clvb on Glass Island throughout the summer. Off the decks, Babet is involved in global efforts to combat plastic pollution, working to amplify youth voices in environmental governance. At Party for the Planet, she brings her signature sound to a night of music and climate action, closing out Climate Action Week in style.

GRACE VEGESANA
National Director AYCC in conversation with Groundswell.

Grace Vegesana (she/they) is the National Director of the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, and a 25 year old woman-of-colour who has been building youth power to end fossil fuel expansion since she was 17. Her legacy includes co-founding the People of Colour Climate Network, pioneering climate justice organising on Dharug Country in Western Sydney with AYCC, and mobilising 3000 Australian businesses to join the Climate Strikes. At the heart of Grace’s work is a fierce belief in a better, brighter, and more climate-resilient world for young people to inherit and thrive in - and a reminder that hope is not just a feeling, but a call to action.

Grace's commitment to justice extends beyond activism to governance, and she sits on the Boards of the Foundation for Young Australians, Sweltering Cities, and Cricket for Climate. Grace is a part of the first International Climate Youth Advisory Council to Minister Chris Bowen, where she is guiding the Department of Climate Change, Energy, Environment and Water's strategic approach to COP31 and beyond. She believes that we should not just advocate for change, but shape the institutions that drive it.

FASHION FORREST - ROSIE DEACON

Come frolic in Deacon’s Fashion Forest disco grotto - a fantastical, fluorescent sensory experience, merging painting and sculpture practises with installation, needlecraft, performance and play. At least 50% of this installation is made from reused materials, including foam offcuts, fabric remnants, timber, reused steel components, paper mache and tractor parts for bases.

PLUS! Activations, installations, wine tasting, games, art, and more.

Good people. Great music. A reason to celebrate. Whether you’re here for the movement or just here for the party, this night’s about letting go and showing up for a good time. 🌍🔥
