August is just around the corner, and to celebrate Malaysia’s Independence Day (Merdeka), the Deakin Malaysian Association (DMA) is thrilled to give back to our vibrant Malaysian community here in Melbourne.
We are proud to present Pasar Project 2025, a cultural and charity bazaar happening on

TIME: 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM
VENUE: Drill Hall (51-57 Victoria St, Melbourne VIC 3000, Australia)
Inspired by the lively and nostalgic pasar malam (night market) vibes, this event brings together food, fun, and fundraising — all in one place. Expect a variety of booths featuring:
Delicious Malaysian street food and snacks 🍢
Handmade crafts, games, and unique local goods 🛍️
Cultural elements and performances to showcase the beauty of Malaysia 🇲🇾
