Pascal Full Moon Ceremony Friday 7:30 April 11
The first Full moon after the Spring Equinox is called the Pascal Moon which we will celebrate on its ecclesiastical date of April 11. It is 14 days from the new moon after the Spring Equinox on March 21s.
Pascal comes from the word meaning Passover and it is what determines the date of Easter, falling on the first Sunday after the Pascal Moon. The word Easter is similar to our word East and seems to have been a spring ceremony in honor of the goddess of rebirth in pagan cultures.
Since the Christian sorrowful mysteries begin with Jesus going to Jerusalem for Passover the week before he is crucified, this full moon has great power.
This full moon falls in Libra with the Sun in the sign of New Beginnings in Aries. This is a perfect time to enjoy a full moon communion gathering around the sacred central fire to remembering who we are and where we are going. Bring instruments for some drumming and song.
For this ceremony, lets gather to welcome Spring and also I have a beautiful story about the fall of the angels and the plan of Salvation that I love to share at this time of the year. This story (and full moon fire circles are great for story telling) is a very powerful understanding of why we have struggle and suffering in life. It is the story of the beginnings of the Medicine Wheel of wholeness that we walk in our incarnational experiences. This Medicine Wheel will bring us home and make us whole and allow us to transition through the various changes that will bring us into our true nature as creator beings, filled with love.
This is a story of the meaning of the incarnation of Christ Consciousness for the purpose of returning us to our true nature through our own free will. I know you will enjoy this story and we will also do some deep sharing and prayers for out times. Sending energy to the earth for her new season of fruition.
Bring simple snacks and if you have instruments or poems or something you feel you want to share please bring.
To find me you pull into the driveway and past the first house, going down the hill, parking is along the road into the campground, and up at the lodge. Come a little early to get situated. We will be in the back of the lodge for this gathering.
Darlene is the owner and director of earthwalk ways retreat, a place where soul and nature meet. Hope to see you here soon. Open House on April 27 in honor of Earthday!
