Event description
⏰PASS PAUSE PLAY #9: HALF TIME HOME STRETCH ⏰
The half-way point is place where we can take stock and plan ahead with more information and less of a wait. Having officially passed the middle of 2025, this show will feature three artists talking through where they’re at and where they’re heading. PASS PAUSE PLAY #9 will feature: Ofri, Nicole Issa, and Sabine Tapia.
OFRI
Ofri is a Sydney chamber folk singer-songwriter with unashamedly candid lyrics and intricate piano-vocal arrangements. Her 2024 debut album That Heavy Magnetism was described as “a rich, musical experience that’s as thought-provoking as it is mesmerising” (AAA Backstage), and her 7-piece band performances dance dynamically between raw emotionality and heartfelt subtlety.
NICOLE ISSA
Nicole Issa is a Sydney-born indie-pop artist whose heartfelt storytelling has taken her from BIGSOUND to a Sofar Sounds U.S. tour. With BBC Radio 1 play, viral songwriting credits, and her single "dating in 2024" on Live Nation’s Ones To Watch, her debut EP drops in 2025.
SABINE TAPIA
Sabine Tapia is a singer, songwriter and bass player from Eora/Sydney. Her background in jazz and enduring love of pop music combine to create her distinct sound, which has been described as feeling like ‘running into an amazing friend you haven’t seen in years’. The music is down to earth and introspective, often arriving from the mysterious but familiar spaces between frustration and hope.
