An introduction to culturally safe practices that influence relationships and communication with Aboriginal people. Grow allyship in individuals by supporting and gaining a deeper understanding of the struggles faced by Aboriginal people to create a more just and equitable society.
Learning outcomes:
- Examine the historical experiences and address contemporary social challenges faced by Aboriginal people.
- Identify critical issues, establish key aspects of cultural safety, and evaluate how cultural safety is integrated into one's work and workplace.
- Contextualise cultural safety in your work environment & procedures that meet the needs of Aboriginal people.
Cultural Safety Awareness Training is the first step of the Cultural Safety Proficiency Pathway delivered by mina nina - Cultural Safety Awareness - Standard 1 (First Priority)
