Pathways to Housing for People with Disability in WA
Online Session No.1 of the Opening the Door WA Disability & Housing Forum
Event date: Tuesday 12th July 2022, from 11:00am - 12:30pm
Registrations close Monday 11th July at 3:00pm
This is a free online event for people with disability, their families, and carers, and others who are interested.
'Pathways to Housing for People with Disability in WA' is a panel presentation and
discussion on opportunities & challenges in buying & renting housing in Western Australia. We will discuss the private housing market, and public, social and affordable housing.
Presenters to include representatives from the social and private housing sectors, and finance.

'Pathways to Housing for People with Disability in WA' is one of a series of sessions being delivered through the Opening the Door project for WA. Other online sessions will include a session on tenancy issues, and one on NDIS Home & Living Supports. Online sessions will be recorded to view after the events.
These will be followed by face-to-face workshops in Perth and Bunbury in the week beginning 18 July.

More about the Opening the Door Project
The Opening the Door project aims to support people with disability to achieve choice and control with their housing options through:
- Developing and sharing online resources
- Forums designed to both share information and gather experiences
- Support existing and establish new peer networks.
The project is for all people with disability regardless of their type of disability or age, and whether they are a participant in the NDIS or not.

- To coordinate your attendance at the event, and provide you with additional resources related to the event
- To issue surveys to people who register to attend this event. These will be voluntary to complete. They will assist the Opening the Door project to make sure that the project is best able to assist people with disability towards their housing goals. R&IA will issue a separate Participation Information Statement with all surveys.
