Event description

In this presentation, Paul Martin will address the topic of vision from his perspective as Professor of Experimental Ophthalmology at the University of Sydney.  In particular, Professor Martin will discuss the topic of color opponency, as seen from the differing viewpoints of color appearance (psychophysics) and measurement of nerve cell responses (physiology).

Part of “VISION CULTURES”, a lecture series about new ideas and research on seeing across the sciences and humanities, presented by the Power Institute as part of the Visual Understanding Initiative.
