Women in Song is one of the PAVE Festival's most popular events. It features four women singer songwriters sharing the stage and performing four songs each (two each set) plus a surprise to close the show. 

This event has been running for over 15 years and with the cancellation of events over the past 3 years, it was the only PAVE Festival event to be held in 2021. 

Now, we present the 2022 Women in Song concert with 4 powerful women, each popular and talented in their own right. But watch what happens when they share the stage. There's a chemistry that never fails and can't be explained; you have to see it to believe the magic.

This year's line up is:

Alison Ferrier Lang
Alison Ferrier’s music has been described as, “Country punk, rock and blues meets folkish melancholy and gingham country with a dash of double denim '70s sweetness.” The Melbourne-based musician crafts songs of nostalgia and the human condition. Ferrier’s voice is unadorned, warm and inviting, she’s a talented guitarist and an active player in Melbourne’s vibrant music scene. One third of award-winning blues powerhouse Opelousas, and more recently, experimental folk band High Ace with husband Jeff Lang, she has also released three solo studio albums. www.alisonferriermusic.com

Riley Jordan

A contemporary artist in an earthy lush style, Riley Jordan hashoned her skills as a producer, songwriter and performer with adeep dedication and respect for her craft.Her latest Single ‘She CanDefy Gravity’ is described by Radio Airplay as “An inspired piece ofsongwriting”. Cate Taylor

Cate Taylor is an indie-folk singer songwriter from Melbourne. Her music is described as rich, natural and grounded in heartfelt, spacious lyrics with a performance style that is authentic and engaging. She released her debut album, Red Dirt in 2020.

Pia Nesvara

Arm-in-arm with her flamenco guitar, Pia Nesvara brings flavors of her Chilean roots in a blend of gutsy vocals, hard-hitting rhythms and brazen lyrics to create her ‘soul meets indie/folk-songwriter’ sound. https://linktr.ee/pianesvara 

Women in Song is a great night in an intimate venue at the beautiful Gem theatre and always sells out

Doors open at 7pm, show starts 7:30pm. 

We understand that covid-19 can bring last minute changes, so if you need to cancel due to illness, your ticket will be refunded up until the day before the event. We'll just keep a small 10% fee to help cover our admin costs.
