We are hosting a free networking event focusing on Personality Disorders on Monday, 18 March 2024 at The Epping Club (45-47 Rawson St, Epping NSW 2121) and will cover topics including:

  • What is a personality disorder?
  • Borderline Personality Disorder: Current state of the research
  • Accommodating a Personality Disorder
  • Treating a Personality Disorder

The guest speaker, Clinical Associate Professor Neil Jeyasingam obtained his medical degree and psychiatry training in Sydney, then proceeded to have advanced training at the Maudsley in London in Consultation Liaison psychiatry.

A/Professor Neil Jeyasingam is a Psychogeriatrician and a research scholar of the Institute of Psychiatry (Sydney) and Institute of Psychiatry (UK). A/Professor Jeyasingam holds a double masters in Psychiatry and Business (Health Administration), and is published widely in personality disorders, anxiety and bipolar disorder, in peer reviewed journals and the Sydney Morning Herald.

A/Professor Jeyasingam is the former Area Clinical Director for the largest mental health service in New South Wales, an Accredited Member of the Royal Australian and New Zealand Psychotherapy Faculty, a Clinical Associate Professor with Sydney University, and the former Chair of the Faculty of Old Age Psychiatry NSW. He sits on the Committee for Evidence Based Medicine with the College of Psychiatry. In private practice he provides psychotherapy supervision to psychologists and psychiatry registrars.

This is a wonderful opportunity to further develop your skills in how to assist those living with personality disorders and a great way to meet other Clinicians in our region.
