Education Webinar | Compassion in Action: The Clinician Experience of Ambulance Wish Queensland

This PCQ Webinar will feature guest speakers Angela Lane, Clinical Nurse Consultant at Metro South Health Services and Karly Claxton, Senior Social Worker at Dove Palliative Care Inpatient Unit and SPARTA telehealth.

Together they will share their unique perspectives and professional insights drawn from their involvement with Ambulance Wish Queensland. Angela and Karly will explore the emotional, clinical and logistical aspects of fulfilling final wishes for Queenslanders living with a life-limiting illness. Their discussion will highlight the impact of the program and offering valuable lessons on compassionate, patient-centred end of life care.

 
We believe that palliative care is everybody’s business, and we aim to build compassionate communities around people and their families experiencing serious illness, dying, death, caregiving and grief. This webinar is designed for all members of the community including both health and non-health related workers (i.e., healthcare workers, doctors, nurses, social workers, allied health staff, health administrative staff, spiritual care workers, health managers, health educators, pharmacists and paramedics).
