The Palestinian Community of Western Australia (PCWA) would like to thank you for your solidarity with Palestine at our next Solidarity BBQ! Respecting the Palestinian lived experience, this gathering is intended to be a safe space for families and friends to come together to express hope, pride, grief and resilience.

What’s happening?

شو البرنامج؟

This solidarity barbecue is an informal social event to hold a space for members of our Palestinian community and wider community, allies, family and friends.

PCWA will put on a sausage sizzle and drinks while we get to know each other better and get to show our gratitude for standing in solidarity Palestine, and against oppression!

We will have a few choice speakers, and facilitate some family games for all to enjoy.

Part proceeds of this event will be donated to an Aboriginal led charity and mutual aid initiatives.

Event schedule

11:00AM Arrival.

11:15AM Speakers and Storytelling from newly arrived members of the Palestinian community.

12:00PM Barbecue (halal).

1:00PM Family games.

2:00PM event ends.

If you are a member of the Palestinian community or if you consider yourself a supporter of the Palestinian community in Western Australia, you are welcome!

PCWA events are inclusive, culturally aware safe spaces. We do our best to facilitate an environment that allows people to be themselves and prioritise the safety of all individuals with no tolerance for discrimination, harassment, and bullying.
