In this experiential lab, we will explore the relationship between the body, emotions, thoughts, and attention. Through guided reflection, gentle practices, shared inquiry, and practical exercises, participants will learn to recognize their internal signs of activation and discover ways to return to greater steadiness.

This is the first in a 6 part progressive series, ending Feb 2027. Though you’ll benefit from any lab, it’s highly encouraged to attend all labs.

What happens within us when tension rises, emotions intensify, or circumstances feel beyond our control?

What We Will Explore

How stress and emotional activation appear in the body
What happens to attention and perception under pressure
The difference between reacting, suppressing, and consciously responding
How to recognize early signs of overwhelm
Simple grounding and centering practices
How self-awareness can support us during difficult conversations
The relationship between self-regulation, compassion, and peace

What You'll Take With You

A clearer understanding of your own stress and activation patterns
Practical tools for returning to greater steadiness
An increased ability to pause before responding
Greater awareness of the connection between body, thought, and emotion
A more compassionate relationship with difficult inner experiences
Practices that can be used at home, at work, and in moments of conflict

What to Expect

Peace Labs are small, participatory gatherings where ideas become practices. Rather than sitting through a lecture, participants are invited into reflection, dialogue, guided exercises, and direct experience.

Participation is always invitational. You are welcome to engage at the level that feels right for you.

No previous meditation, mindfulness, or self-regulation experience is necessary.

To ensure this work has depth and safety, we intentionally keep it intimate, as a small-group practice space,

Join us for an afternoon of slowing down, listening inwardly, and discovering what it means to meet life with greater steadiness.
