    Event description

Peer Rope Melbourne is starting a new Beginner 2 course.

It will run for four weeks, on Tuesday nights from Oct 5th, from 7 pm to 9 pm.

This course is designed for people who already have basic shibari skills. It is important to have done the beginner PRM course in the past or one of the intensive or have already shibari knowledge from other rope schools. You need to know at least how to perform well a single column tie, and half hitch and have good knowledge of tensions and frictions.

During the course, you will learn different chest harnesses, hands-free and hands in front, leg ties, different rope play positions, and combinations of previous ties learnt in Beginner 1 (don't worry if you don't remember all the ties or if you come from a different rope school, we will review everything at the beginning of each class to be sure everyone is at the same skill level before to progress into something more complicate). Also, we will start to play with movements, positions and connections between the rigger and the bunny. Shibari is not only knots and ties.

    Early Bird Tickets
$80 per person, for all four classes (within Sunday Oct 27th at midnight)
    General admission
$90 per person, for all four classes (from Monday Oct 28th)

THIS MONTH THE TALENTED Juliette WILL BE TEACHING THE CLASSES.

    Juliette Bio:

Juliette picked up a rope in the first Melbourne lockdown and hasn’t put it down since. She is fascinated by the many unique ways Shibari connects people through the medium of rope, in a manner that explores, transcends, and challenges our pre-existing notions of what it means to be in a relationship with another human being.

Juliette trains extensively with various local schools and teachers as well as interstate and international teachers Supaku (Kanna-ryu), Tifereth, and Yagami Ren (Yagami-ryu).

She performs nationally and internationally, drawing people into her engaging and entertaining shows, including at Shibari Lounge and various public events. Juliette loves sharing her passions and knowledge with others and brings over a decade of education and group facilitation experience to Peer Rope Melbourne.

    FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):

    Q. What should I wear?

    A. We suggest you wear something comfortable, ensuring ease of movement. For anyone wearing a bra, we recommend to wear one without the metal wire (like a sports bra). It could be painful if we practice a chest harness and you are the model.

    Q. Do I need a partner for these classes?

    A. We highly suggest you join the classes with someone happy to be your rope model. Said that, if you can't find one or one class your model is sick, come anyway and you will probably be able to practice some ties on you, or a prop (like a chair) or to just watch to practice after at home. Of course, it is not the same but it is an option. Also, remember to join our FB group "Peer Rope Melbourne" the perfect place to find a rigger/rope model and ask any questions.

Q: Will I need to bring my own ropes?
A: Yes, for these classes, it's essential to have your own set of ropes. You'll need at least 3-4 pieces, each 8 meters long, along with your safety shears.

    Q. Does my model need to pay?

    A. Yes. At Peer Rope Melbourne, we've designed our classes to be educational for both top/rigger/giver and bottom/bunny/receiver. This approach ensures fairness, equality, and accessibility for everyone in terms of cost.

    Q. What if I miss one of the classes?

    A. If you miss just one of the other 4 classes, don't worry. Our teachers always review the main ties, taught in the previous session, at the beginning of each class, ensuring you stay on track with the material.

    Q. I just ended my B2 course but I don't feel ready for Intermediate. What are my options?

    A. No worries! Feel free to rejoin B2 next month with one of the other PRM teachers.
Each course is led by one of our exceptional teachers, and each of them features a unique teaching style and may introduce additional ties and styles, providing you with a well-rounded learning experience.

    Q. Can I get a refund if I miss a class or the entire course?

    A. Unfortunately, tickets are non-refundable however, they can be transferred to another person (not event) for the same event.
Contact Elisa through @intimatehorizons (on Facebook or Instagram) or send us an email at info.peerropemelbourne@gmail.com to facilitate the transfer

This is a 18+ only event.
