Peer Support Group Meeting for those Living with Overweight & Obesity - February Meeting
Event description
Looking for a place where you truly belong?
Living with overweight or obesity can feel isolating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Our peer support group is a safe, welcoming community designed for people just like you—those seeking understanding, encouragement, and genuine connection.
What we’re about:
We meet once a month to share stories, celebrate wins (big and small), and support one another on our individual health journeys. Here, you’ll find a space where you can simply be yourself, surrounded by others who get it.
What to expect:
- A warm, judgment-free environment
- Meaningful friendships and shared experiences
- An open space to talk about what matters to you
- Encouragement, empathy, and understanding
What you won’t find:
- Weight loss programs, unsolicited advice, or sales pitches
- Judgment or unrealistic expectations
This is more than just a group—it’s a growing community built on mutual respect, kindness, and support. We’re here to listen, uplift, and help each other thrive. Come along, contribute your voice, and be part of something truly special.
Technical and advertising support for this new group is provided by Health Consumers' Council and The WELL Collaborative, however the group itself is entirely run by interested individuals. If you have any questions regarding the group, please send them to info@thewellcollaborative.org.au and they will be forwarded to the group facilitators.
