Event description
Let's get to know your world! This workshop is centered on developing a village, city, or region, the people that live there, the culture they have developed, and who they worship.
We'll use prompts, dice tables, and reference books for inspiration.
Participants will:
- Create a village, city, or region
- Populate it
- Give it a reason to exist
- Dive into culture
- and develop a pantheon of gods
Materials needed: Dice and a notebook (only if you prefer to use your own, otherwise both will be provided).
Anyone under the age of 14 must be attended by a parent or guardian.
Stuart Watkinson is an educator, writer, podcaster, and RPG designer. He writes mind-bending adventures, with a touch of the apocalypse. When not in the classroom he is writing words or rolling dice. He has a range of published tabletop roleplaying games and supplements for science fiction and fantasy storytelling. At the heart of all of them is strong world-building to help players tell engaging stories.
